Thank you for attending the teleseminar, “Step Through Stress: Effective Tips for Busy Professional Women”

Now that you have worked your way through the teleseminar or the recording, it is important that you continue to use your new knowledge as you go about your life. To make this easier and more fun, I suggest you use the printable handout below as a reference. It will help to remind you about the different forms of stress that we experience.

Homework:

Within the next couple of weeks, identify a stress in your life, relationships, or career.  Then using your class Activity Sheets, note if it’s acute or chronic — threatening your internal physical, emotional or psychological safety — how you are responding, and if your response is magnifying or minimizing the stress.  Look at the effectiveness of your response in terms of your mental and physical well-being and see if you want to make some changes.

You can use the handout below to help pick a stress management technique, perhaps one you haven’t tried before.  Ask yourself if you need a technique that will help you avoid the experience of stress, or one that will help you mitigate the effects of stress.  This will reinforce what you learned in the teleseminar, strengthen your ability to make choices around the stresses in your life, and help build a habit of looking at stresses in terms of managing them and reaping the benefits.
